You’re leaving California! Why? Full Time RVing? Really!

“What’s more I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go.” Genesis 28:15 (NLT)

Those are some of the questions we have had from family and friends. We have seen God’s guidance in our decision-making and in the flow of events that have led us to this point.

Our decision to RV full-time around North America was several years in the making. During our travels to numerous western US states on the motorcycle, we visited many National Parks and Monuments, museums, and small towns and communities that make up the USA. From these travels we realized that:

  • We love to travel and learn
  • We love meeting and talking to people
  • We want to see more of God’s creations in North America, especially the National Parks
  • We would like to live in a small town and explore small communities
  • We wanted to move out of California

We decided that the best way to do all of this would be to become full-time RVers one step at a time.

The first step was to sell our house. Next was to move to Bend, Or.  And then to purchase an RV. We decided on an Entegra Anthem. Bryan did a lot of research before we decided this would be the best way for us to travel and live full time on the road.

This life style is not for everyone. We are sure we will hit some hiccups living in a “rolling earthquake”. But looking at social media, the positives far outweigh the negatives for those who have taken this venture. I am impressed with the number of families who live on the road full time. Some do it because of work. Others take their children around the country and home school them. What an education!

There are several links on this site for others who travel by RV and their adventures. The posts are as varied as the people. Check them out.

Thanks for stopping by. Our next post will probably come from Phoenix, AZ after we pick up our “home of wheels”.
